Protecting your music
Although you legally own any creative work as soon as you create it, you can protect lyrics, sound recordings, wav files, CD's, DVD's, printed music, any idea in a fixed medium by copyrighting them. This link will take you to the
US Copyright Office where you can get the information and the correct forms to protect your creative works. Don't know which form to use? Copyright basics can be

GuitarsEveryone knows about the big name manufacturers. But I'd like to draw your attention to a couple of lesser known but exquisite instrument manufacturers.
At a recent
NAMM show in Anaheim, CA (check out the "2007 NAMM Show Wrap-Up Video" on their site), I discovered
Brian Moore guitars. At the show manufacturers like Digitech, Roland and others had Brian Moore guitars as the guitar of choice for their demos. The
iGuitar series is a beautiful instrument with everything I needed for synth and regular guitar work. Check out their guitars at their
website.
Another find was an Italian manufacturer of absolutely beautiful, high end guitars.
Manne Guitars are designed and crafted by Andrea "Manne" Ballarin. If you have an interest in seeing one of these masterpieces send me an email and I'll forward it to Gary Riso, the Southwest rep for Manne. You can see Gary towards the bottom of the info page playing with his band "Mistress". Should you send an email to Andrea via his website in Italy tell him "Tequila Man" sent you. Long story.
Guitar Synthesizers
Guitar Synthesizers are not for everyone. It requires a completely different approach to guitar playing. To find out what guitar synthesizers are and what they do click

The history of the guitar synthesizer and what's currently available can be found

Music Technology
Keeping up with technology, products, sound design and industry in general is a full time job. There are monthly peroidicals whose business is to keep up with the trends. A couple of good magazines to subscribe to:
